Abby Solves: Rising Singer-Songwriter

Abby Solves, also known as Abigail Goncalves, is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter based in Syracuse, NY. Abby is many things: a guitarist, a singer, an avid music theory enjoyer, and an aspiring cowboy, but above all else, she's a passionate songwriter. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Taylor Swift, Maisie Peters, Olivia Rodrigo, and nearly any Y2K pop/rock artist, Abby loves creating her own original music and has a deep appreciation for pop music. Her original music embodies the essence of a pop ballad and draws influences from a mix of genres including pop, rock & soft-rock, folk, country, and alternative. In 2022, Abby began pursuing more performance opportunities, and by February 2024, she had released her debut single, 'Mistakes'. In April of that year, 'Mistakes' started being regularly featured on 95x's 'Locals Only' with Scott Dixon. Additionally, Abby scored a performance and interview on their 'Morning Mess' segment that July. Later that year, she launched her next single, the iconic 'Redbox'. During the week 'Redbox' was released, Abby was featured on 95x's 'Locals Only' again and performed at the New York State Fair! At the beginning of 2025, Abby was nominated for a Sammys People's Choice Award and made it to the 3rd round! Currently, as a high school senior, Abby hopes to attend Belmont University in Nashville, TN, to continue her pursuit of music after graduating in 2026. Her biggest dream is for people to hear and feel her lyrics and music just as she has for her favorite artists. Abby continues to learn more about and passionately pursue music every day.
